Introduction

Amrisha is a specialist criminal and regulatory practitioner. She commenced practice in 2010 after completing pupillage in Chambers.

Amrisha has a busy Crown Court practice. She is regularly instructed to prosecute and defend in a range of criminal cases including dishonesty, drugs, sexual offences and violence.

Amrisha is a qualified Attorney of Sri Lanka. Prior to joining chambers she practised in Sri Lanka. She speaks fluent Sinhalese.

Regulatory

Amrisha is regularly instructed by City Councils, the DWP and UKBA to prosecute food hygiene prosecutions, alcohol licencing, taxi licensing, benefit fraud and confiscation of goods at airports.

She is experienced in defending allegations of a variety of benefit frauds. She is meticulous in her approach to each case and prioritizes putting clients at ease and explaining matters thoroughly.
