Davinia joined St Philips in 2010 after successful completion of her pupillage.   She spent the majority of her pupillage under the supervision of Vanessa Meachin.

Prior to joining St Philips, Davinia worked as a solicitor’s agent and for various Local Authorities in-house as a legal officer in their housing departments.

Due to her work experience gained prior to joining St Philips, Davinia has had exposure to a wide variety of tribunals which has provided her with a strong practical base to build upon her growing specialisms.  She is a conscientious and approachable advocate who prides herself on her ability to build a good rapport with those whom she represents and professional clients alike

Davinia has experience of the full range of hearings in financial relief proceedings; including First Direction Appointments, FDRs, final hearings,  Schedule 1 and  MPS applications.  She also has experience in dealing with matters under the Trust of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA) as well as dealing with Orders for sale and claims arising from interveners in resulting and constructive trusts.  Davinia is looking to develop this area of her practice.

Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse

Davinia is regularly instructed in private law matters and has been involved with protracted and sensitive cases.   Her experience extends to the range of section 8 orders including shared residence, contact and specific issue applications. She is often instructed in complex matters involving leave to remove from the jurisdiction in the High Court, cases involving allegations of sexual and physical abuse, and applications including children's Guardians.

Davinia is also experienced in Family Law Act matters and has dealt with injunction and committal proceedings, non-molestation and Occupation Orders.   Davinia has represented vulnerable clients including those with mental health difficulties and those where English is not their first language.
