Introduction

Hannah read History at Newnham College, Cambridge, she graduated with a top 2.1. She was awarded two College examination prizes.

Following her undergraduate degree Hannah completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Bar Professional Training Course at City University London. She was called to the Bar in 2012 by Middle Temple. She is a scholar of the Middle Temple, receiving a Benefactor’s Scholarship, a Queen Mother’s Scholarship and a Blackstone’s Exhibition.

Hannah joined St Philips after completing pupillage under the supervision of Barry Berlin (regulatory and crime), James Morgan (commercial) and Robin Lewis (family). She accepts instructions in all areas of practice with a particular focus on commercial and regulatory law.

In her spare time Hannah enjoys going to the cinema, reading and playing in live poker tournaments.

Crime

Hannah regularly appears in the Magistrates' Court where she defends in a variety of offences, including driving offences and dangerous dogs cases. She has experience making section 78 and abuse of process applications. She has appeared in the Crown Court in Magistrates' Court appeals, bail applications, breach defences and prosecutions and in a variety of pre and post-trial matters.

Hannah is able to quickly gain the trust of her lay clients who respect her friendly but authoritative style and her tenacious advocacy on their behalf.
