Recently, Iqbal has acted in a number of claims seeking to set aside substantial transactions as a result of undue influence, duress or fraud. Iqbal has also acted in a number of claims concerning sale of goods and contractual disputes involving professional services which include corollary claims in negligence.
Iqbal has advised on the enforceability of contracts, on public policy or illegality grounds, the interpretation of leases and clauses in diverse service agreements, including those relating to online services. He also advises on trusts and equitable remedies.
Additionally, Iqbal regularly advises on Consumer Credit Act matters, credit hire claims and claims involving consumer protection regulation such as Distance Selling and Unfair Consumer Terms.
Iqbal has also been instructed by Freeholders, managing agents or leaseholders in disputes involving service charges, breach of lease or in enforcement proceedings.
Iqbal has also advised on claims for damages in claims involving complicated issues of loss of chance or causation.
Iqbal has acted in appeals to Circuit Judges, the High Court and the Court of Appeal.
Iqbal also acts for both employers and employees at tribunal or the county court. He acts in claims covering the full spectrum of employment law including unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, wage disputes, discrimination and TUPE. His clients include banks, government and household names such as Marks and Spencer, Boots and Bupa.
