Katy Vernon-Asimeng

Introduction

Katy read French and German at Keble College, Oxford. She has experience of teaching languages both abroad and in the UK and, as a graduate, she worked for a multinational oil corporation before doing her law conversion course.

She won Manchester Metropolitan University’s mooting competition whilst studying for her Graduate Diploma in Law and received a major scolarship from Middle Temple to study the Bar Vocational Course.

Katy secured pupillage upon completion of the BVC and joined Chambers as a tenant in 2011. Her main pupil supervisor was Heledd Williams (Family) and she followed Tim Green and David Griffiths during her criminal and civil rotations.

Since taking on her own cases, Katy has appeared regularly in the Magistrates’, Crown and County courts. She is approachable and client-focused, with excellent conferencing skills and experience of mediation as a means of dispute resolution.
