Martine spent her early years at the Bar undertaking a common law practice including family, crime and personal injury. She has since specialised in family work covering all fields and representing all sides, parents, Local Authorities and children.
She is a regular lecturer for Jordan’sPublishers for HumanRights, private and public law and has chaired a number of conferences on the medical aspects of child abuse including so-called ‘shaken baby syndrome’
Martine co-authored ‘Family Law and the Human Rights Act 1998. She has been ranked as a leading junior in Chambers and Partners for a number of years and is described as an incisive practitioner. She is known for fearless cross examination.
