Yolanda has extensive experience in all areas of financial remedy proceedings including ancillary relief, Children Act Schedule 1 claims, CSA enforcement and TOLATA claims. These include cases of significant legal or financial complexity, or matters of more modest means, which can prove equally challenging.  Given that Yolanda has a practice, which covers all areas of family law, she has significant wealth of experience. Yolanda also has experience of defended divorce matters.

Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse

Through her practice Yolanda has obtained substantial experience in private law proceedings, at all levels representing clients and private and publically funded basis. Yolanda frequently advises and appears in cases involving disputes over residence, contact but more complex cases involving allegations of physical and/or sexual abuse or substance abuse.

Yolanda also has experience in more complex matters of removal from the jurisdiction to both Hague and Non Hague convention countries. Yolanda also frequent represents Children’s Guardians who have been appointed pursuant to FPR 2010 Rule 16.4 in complex and sometimes long running private law matters.

Yolanda has experience in injunctions both under the FLA and Forced Marriage Protection Orders on behalf of Local Authorities and Police Forces

Public Law Care and Adoption

Yolanda has extensive experience in representing Local Authority’s Parents, Children’s Guardians and extended family members in all stages of Public Law Proceedings, from initial hearings including ICO hearings through Findings of Fact and Final Hearings, involving allegations of long term neglect, sexual and physical and emotional abuse; or interim hearings involving applications for assessment. Yolanda has obtained experience of the years representing a variety of parents from different backgrounds, including those with mild to sever mental health difficulties, learning difficulties of all types including those clients who lack capacity and therefore are represented by the Official Solicitor. Yolanda also represents Police Forces and non-party Local Authorities in PII and disclosure applications.

Yolanda has experience of appearing at all levels of Courts from Magistrates to High Courts.
